Born in Holland, one of the greatest maritime nations of all, and having served in the shipping industry for over forty years, Chris Schuchard (L) was this week inducted into Rotary Club of Hout Bay by pres. Joe Schwach.
In fact, Chris has been shore-based for the last twenty-five years working in the Middle East, West/South/East and Central Africa, the Far East, Australasia and Indonesia. Chris is married to Loes (since 1978) and has a daughter of 25 and a son 22.
As managing director for the massive Mitsui-Osk-Lines (MOL) for Southern Africa, based in Cape Town, covering South Africa all the way up to Zambia including Indian Ocean Islands, Chris is a busy man and we welcome his engaging and business-like personality to the club. He will be a great asset, we are sure.
