Rotary Club of Coolamon arrived back in Hout Bay, tired yet elated with their accomplishments. A few days earlier the team had set out to conquer Mount Kilimanjaron. They returned triumphant and with a sizeable donation to be used in projects all over Africa.
Hout Bay particularly benefits with donations to Operation Medical Hope, and the promise of more to come from our hardworking Australians.
Houtbayers were particularly proud of their representative Anna Khuzwayo, a local AIDS counsellor, who did us proud.
Initiator of the whole project was Coolamon Rotarian John Glassford, who began his journey of many steps with us in 2004. Rotary was pleased to bestow on him a Paul Harris Award, the highest recognition our club can give.
